Who can join CYP?
Greenwood area business professionals between the ages of 21 and 41 are invited to join CONNECT YP. Even though CYP is an initiative of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, Chamber membership is not required to participate in CYP.
Professionals past the age of 41 who wish to contribute to the growth of this outstanding organization are invaluable as “Connectors,” participating in the program schedule while mentoring and sharing their expertise with members.
Why join CYP?
Membership in CONNECT YP provides opportunities not ordinarily available to business professionals just starting on their career path. Every month members have the option to participate in CYP events:
- Professional Development Seminars and “Lunch & Learn” programs with dynamic guest speakers help young professionals develop the skills necessary to advance and succeed.
- Social and Networking events provide “after-hours” opportunities to network with peers in fun, relaxing venues. Meet old friends and make new connections in casual settings.
- Community Volunteer opportunities allow you to give back to the community by participating in one of CYP’s volunteer service projects. Work with the people that give their time to make Greenwood great, plus make invaluable contacts with influential business and community leaders – all while having fun!

/ October 29, 2010Hi. I was wondering about membership. I lived in Greenwood for 25 years and moved to New York last year. I’m back in town pretty often as most of my family still lives there. I was wondering if it’s possible for me to apply for membership to this organization or if there is a requirement that you live or work only in Greenwood. It sounds like you provide lots of valuable experiences for young professionals and lots of fun as well. These events may be something that I would be interested in participating in when I’m in town if possible. Please let me know. Thanks.
